What is a CSA?

CSA is an acronym for Community Supported Agriculture. A popular way to support a local farm, learn how your fruits and vegetables are grown, eat healthy, and connect directly to a farmer.

You purchase a ‘share’ of our farm, committing to a 17-week season, and in return we deliver your weekly share of fresh produce to a drop site of your choosing. Each week the contents of your share will change depending on what is in season, ranging from asparagus in the spring to apples in the fall, allowing you to experience a true Minnesota growing season.

*Changes for the 2020 Season!*

If you have participated in our CSA previously, you are familiar with our Full and Half-share options. Due to feedback from our CSA members, we have discontinued our Full share, and have added a new Mini-Share option!

Our Family shares (previously known as Half Shares) are perfect for a household of 3-4 people. They feature 7-10 different items each week and will have all the quantity and variety our farm has to offer! This share is ideal for you if:

  • You like to cook at home 4-5 nights a week
  • You are ready to experiment with new-to-you foods such as Jicima, Fennel, Shishito Peppers, and Okra (crops provided are weather dependent!)

Our new Mini-share is designed for those who have a smaller household of 2 people. Featuring less variety and less quantity, the Mini is a way of introducing farm fresh produce into your weekly meals. This share is ideal for you if:

  • You are a household of two that likes to cook at home 3-4 nights a week
  • You have a garden already and are just looking to supplement your crops

Our CSA program lasts 17 weeks, beginning in mid-June and continuing through early-October. We deliver to over 70 locations throughout the Twin Cities area, including both public and private workplace sites!

Untiedt’s Vegetable Farm CSA share is like none other! We have over 50 different small fruits and vegetable crops being raised on our farmlands. Along with that large selection comes the extended "harvest window," which is much wider than most other Minnesota growers because we farm many crops using high tunnels. This allows us to begin the harvest much sooner than growers who must wait for the risk of frost and cold winds to subside before they are able to sow their seeds. This delays a farmer’s harvest dates in Minnesota. For example, we normally begin harvesting Red Ripe tomatoes by the third week of June. This means our shareholders will be eating Red Ripe Minnesota Grown tomatoes in the month of June instead of waiting until early August - which is when most other growers' tomatoes come to market.

Register below to receive your share of our fresh-picked fruits and vegetables, our famous State Fair sweet corn, and much, much more! We honestly believe our produce can exceed your expectations for homegrown flavor. We look forward to an opportunity where We Can Grow For You!

Our CSA’s are delivered on Tuesday each week. We have multiple pick up sites to choose from in the metro, both public and private workplace sites!
